  1.                                      OPPOSITE ASPECT

  3.    When two planets are opposite, the angle between them in the sky
  4. is close to 180 degrees. The maximum Orb Size determines how close 
  5. to 180 degrees apart two planets must be to be opposite. Thus, if 
  6. two planets are 183.5 degrees apart and the maximum Orb Size is 7 
  7. degrees, the planets are indeed opposite. If however the planets 
  8. are 188 degrees apart (with a maximum Orb Size of 7 degrees), they 
  9. would NOT be opposite. You can set the maximum Orb Size from the 
  10. miscellaneous options window.
  11.    An opposite aspect is unharmonious. The influences of two planets
  12. are at cross-purposes, pulling you in different directions. The 
  13. result is discord, difficulties, and strain in your life. An 
  14. opposition could merely represent a challenge or minor obstacle, 
  15. or it could signify a part of your life which is going awry.
